Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) - You will have a network of medical providers, and you will get the
highest level of medical coverage if you get service from this group. But you can still get covered if you
visit a non-network provider. PPO plans usually have fairly low copays, yearly deductibles, and coinsurance
amounts so you can control your health costs while still having some flexibility.
Health Savings Account (HSA) - You will choose a high deductible health insurance plan with a
tax advantaged savings account. For disciplined savers who like to control their health care, HSA plans
work well.
Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) - You will have to use a network medical provider for coverage, so
these plans are the least flexible. However they often provide the highest level of coverage since the company
can manage costs.
