Simplified or Guaranteed Issue Life Insurance For Seniors
Guaranteed Issue Senior Life: This means that applicants can qualify for a policy without answering health questions. They
may still need to satisfy other criteria, like being the right age for the policy. The catch is that there will probably be a
waiting period between policy issue and when the policy will pay out the whole death benefit. If the insured person passes away before this
waiting period is satisfied, the policy may refund premiums, pay interest, or pay a portion of the death benefit.
Simplifed Issue Senior Life: These policies are still designed to be easy for most seniors to qualify for, but do ask
some health questions. People in the right age band (say 50 - 85) should qualify as long as they are no seriously ill. The advantage to a simpified
issue policy is that the premiums are usually lower, they may accept older applicants, and they may pay an immediate death benefit. In other words,
as soon as the policy is issued, the beneficiaries will get the entire death benefit if the insured person passes away.
